PKD-Free Background

Founded by Richard Kellner in 2021, the PKD-Free Alliance is the ONLY charitable organization with the mission of ending PKD in families and supporting generational health. Since founding the organization, PKD-Free has supported many families through the IVF and PGT-M process. The number of families in its PKD-Free Babies program is growing each week, more and more families are expecting children as a result of the support provided by PKD-Free and every month families supported by the organization welcome PKD-Free babies into the world. Each birth is an important step in ending the disease that causes pain and suffering over multiple generations.

Our new page and media center is an information hub for families as well as the media. We welcome media inquiries.

We are happy to connect members of the media with PKD-Free leadership, medical experts and parents who have successfully gone through the PGT-M and IVF process who now have PKD-free children.

US Fertility and PKD-Free Partner to Provide More Affordable Genetic Testing and IVF Services for Families Pursuing Polycystic Kidney Disease (“PKD”) Free Future Generations

Partnership helps reduce the financial burden on families seeking to have PKD free babies and gain access to top-tier fertility practices

Westbury, NY and Los Angeles, CA July 9, 2024 – Today, PKD-Free announced a partnership with US Fertility, the nation’s largest partnership of physician-owned and physician-led top-tier fertility practices. The partnership with US Fertility allows families that are part of PKD-Free’s grant program access to US Fertility’s professionals and services at significantly discounted rates.

PKD-Free provides families who are accepted to its program with support, education and access to leading medical and genetic specialists along with grants of up to $9,000 per patient to cover insurance coverage gaps for Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT), and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
